The Aurora Municipal Airport is a full-service Chicago-area
corporate aircraft facility, situated just outside the Class B
airspace for O'Hare International Airport. Aurora Municipal Airport
is the only airport in the Chicago area with direct tollway access.
Located just eight miles west of downtown Aurora and 35 miles
west of the City of Chicago, the airport is just minutes from
major business parks and the East-West Tolway Research and Development
corridor (I-88). Aurora Municipal Airport assures easy access
both in the air and on the ground.
The
Aurora Municipal Airport is open 24-hours a day to serve your
business needs, averaging 450 flights daily. The Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Control Tower provides for safer
departures and arrivals, and is open 7 days a week. The 6,500'
primary runway is equipped to handle the entire corporate aviation
fleet of aircraft. Two other runways help keep traffic moving
during peak times or inclement weather, providing for safer landings
and takeoffs at the airport.
